ENH provides skilled nursing home care in three distinct care settings.

1.Transitional Care Unit (TCU) – Reshaping lives and restoring lost abilities after an illness, surgery or injury. We provide medically complex care, IV therapy and wound care led by a nationally Certified Wound Care Specialist. Our therapy center was built in 2015. Our therapy team includes licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services seven days per week. State- of – art services include therapy pool, steam shower, large gym with private treatment rooms and massage therapy. The average length of stay is less than 20 days. If you are planning a surgery that may require a short therapy or medical care, please contact us in advance to pre-book your stay.
2.Memory Care – Providing individualized, specialized memory care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. Our nationally honored Ecumen Awakenings TM program leads the person centered care that focuses on abilities and honors the resident in a safe and secure environment.
3.Long Term Care (LTC) – Providing high quality healthcare services for residents requiring care longer than 100 days. The multidisciplinary care team led by a registered nurse (RN) and a licensed social worker (LSW).

In the nursing home, licensed nurses are available 24/7 to oversee care provided. Additional specialty services include; palliative care and coordination with Hospice, end-of-life care, consulting licensed dietician and certified wound care specialist. Every nursing home resident has a primary physician. Many local physicians and nurse practitioners make home visits to the nursing home.

Contact either the Admissions Coordinator or licensed social worker (LSW) to discuss your care needs and to help determine the best plan for meeting your care needs. By working together we can ensure your long-term health and wellness needs are met in the appropriate setting.

ENH receives payment for care from Medicare, medical assistance, private insurance, long-term care insurance and private pay. We also have a contract with Veterans Administration. Our admission team will assist you with determining the proper payment source for each person.

All residents require a physician’s order for admission. A screening from the County is also required to ensure nursing home placement is appropriate.

Ecumen Detroit Lakes has a full time chaplain that leads and coordinates our spiritual care program and church services campus wide. We have a beautiful chapel in the center of our campus, adjacent to the nursing home main entry and commons area with several amenities including, a gift shop, snack bar, conference center and meeting rooms.

Every month a new activity calendar that includes special events is shared, in addition to a daily schedule of happenings.

We have beautiful, secure courtyards for residents and families to enjoy.

Our business center provides free of charge WIFI, iPads and a computer to connect residents with family & friends. The center also includes books for enjoyment and resources to learn more about a variety of illnesses and for caregiver support.

The dining department and consulting dietitian work hard to meet the special dietary needs of residents as ordered by their physician. We strive to accommodate individual likes and “dislikes” and have alternative choices available daily.

We Appreciate Your Support!
