Beauty shop and barber services are available from licensed, professional hair stylists in several on-site locations at Ecumen Detroit Lakes. Appointments can be made for haircuts, sets, permanents or coloring to suit your individual style.

Ecumen Detroit Lakes provides professional meeting facilities that accommodate small groups and up to 100 people.
We welcome celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. If you would like to reserve a space for a large gathering or a dining room for a quiet family meal, just let us know.
Explore three lovely courtyards with sitting areas where you can enjoy the birds, sunshine and flowers or have a picnic lunch with family and friends. Our main courtyard features a propane grill for backyard barbeques. Raised planters and community gardens are available for growing your own flowers or vegetables.
You can find reasonably priced gifts, greeting cards, and seasonal items at our gift shop.

We welcome one small pet at The Madison, Lamplighter Manor, The Cottage and, in special situations, the nursing home. Ecumen Detroit Lakes is a “pet-friendly” campus that welcomes visiting pets and animals.
Massage relaxes the body, loosens tight muscles and promotes restful sleep. You can enjoy a massage by a Certified Massage Therapist, available by appointment for a fee.
In our business center, we have iPads and a computer that are available for use by residents and families.

Christmas at Ecumen Detroit Lakes includes a holiday craft show and luncheon. Residents love being able to do their Christmas shopping on-site at events with friends from the community.
Everyone is welcome to attend services in the chapel. Special worship services are offered throughout the year and local churches also hold services at our community.
